Level 3
1 – 2 Years
This is an entry level qualification for people intending on working or who are already working in the marine or composite sector, filling and fairing substrates for refits or new builds.
Level 4
4 – 5 Years
This is an entry level qualification for people intending to enter or who are already working in the boat building sector, in the refit or construction of vessels. Graduates of this qualification will have the specialised knowledge and skills to refit and construct vessels in either alloy, steel, composites or wood depending on which strand is achieved.
4 Years
This is an entry level qualification for people intending to enter or who are already working in the marine systems environment. Graduates of this qualification will have the skills and knowledge for the component aspects of a service engineer or technician depending on which stand is completed.
3 Years
This is an entry level qualification for people intending to enter or who are already working with yacht rig structures. Graduates of this qualification will have the skills and knowledge to work in a range of unsupervised roles in the marine or composites industry.
3 – 4 Years
This is an entry level qualification for people intending to enter or who are already working in the marine industry, in the refit or fit-out of vessels.
2 Years
This is an entry level qualification for people intending to enter or who are already working in the marine retail industry.
2 – 3 Years
This is an entry level qualification for people intending to enter or who are already working in the boat building sector, in the refit or construction of new vessels. Graduates of this qualification will have the skills and knowledge to work in a team, unsupervised, in the coating of refit vessels or new vessels.
3 Years
This is an entry level qualification for people intending to enter or who are already working in the boat building sector, in the refit or construction of new vessels. Graduates of this qualification will have the skills and knowledge to work in a team, unsupervised, in the coating of refit vessels or new vessels.
3 Years
This is an entry level qualification for people intending to enter or who are already working in the marine industry. Graduates of this qualification will have the skills and knowledge to work in a range of unsupervised roles in trailer boat rigging and servicing.
Levels 5 +
2 Years
This qualification is for experienced boat builders who have an advanced working knowledge and skills in vessel design, construction, and vessel systems.
2 Years
This qualification is for experienced marine practitioners who want to specialise in managing complex projects for the new build or refit of marine vessels. Graduates of this qualification will have the skills and knowledge to work in a range of roles including managing marine projects on either new builds, or refits of vessels, marine project consulting, or as a self-employed business owner.
Level 3

Level 4

3 Years
This qualification is for experienced composite practitioners who wish to specialise in aspects of technical composite processing. Graduates of this qualification will have the skills and knowledge to work in a range of unsupervised roles in the composites industry.
Level 4
2 Years
This qualification is for people who are currently employed in a marina or boatyard environment or for those who wish to work in a marina or boatyard environment. Graduates of this qualification will have the skills and knowledge to work unsupervised in marina operations or in boatyard operations, depending on which strand is completed.
