MacKay Boats have a long and successful reputation for building winning boats including racing powerboats, surfboats and yachts.
During the 60’s,70’s and 80’s we built the Flying Dutchman class and our boats were used by New Zealand crews at the Olympics from 1964 through to 1992 including winning the 1964 Gold medal in Tokyo.
During the 70’s the Mackay name was synonymous with Offshore Powerboat racing winning the national championships 5 years in a row.
In the 90s we began building 470s and 49ers. Our boats have won the 470 World Championships 11 times and the 49er World Championship 5 times and in Olympic competition Mackay boats have won 17 medals.
