Sealegs International Limited is the world’s leading manufacturer of amphibious boats. Proudly designed and made in New Zealand, they are a unique entrepreneurial company looking for great people to help build their global brand. As part of this growth they are looking to appoint an additional Assembly Engineer. There is also potential to undertake a marine trade apprenticeship for the right candidate.
Job tasks and responsibilities
Responsibilities include assembling Sealegs craft and assemblies, ensuring assembly tasks are completed accurately and within the required time frame. This role involves mechanical, electrical and hydraulic assembly. You would also be expected to assist with additional requests within the production environment; this can range from sea trialling craft to container loading and anything in between.
Skills and experience
This role requires someone with a mechanical aptitude who is a self-starter and good at practical problem solving. You shall have a minimum of four years’ secondary education with good grades in Maths and English. Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment, and/or tertiary education in either the automotive or marine industry is of benefit. Whilst specific skills are important so is attitude and this role would suit a positive, enthusiastic, hardworking individual that is interested in long term progression.
