Marine Trimmer wanted June 14, 2016 by Caroline Doyle Sails New Zealand is looking for a new apprentice marine trimmer to join the company’s busy and expanding marine trimming department. Experience is not necessary as training will be provided and an NZQA qualification is achievable after completion of the course. This role will suit a candidate who’s ready to take on a position they can turn into a career. The work is very varied, making covers and upholstery for vessels of all sizes and types, from dinghy covers, spray dodgers and sail covers to the world’s biggest superyacht interiors encompassing seating cushions, beds, floor covers, outdoor awnings and drop clears, among other things. You will be part of a small team of experienced people who produce a very high-quality, detailed product, within an industry-leading company. This role will suit a fit and strong person with a New Zealand working visa and drivers licence. The position is based in Rosebank Road, Avondale, and will also include time working on vessels in the marinas around the Auckland area. This is a fulltime, permanent position.
