As a growing and innovative boat builder we at Rae Line Boats are looking to bring another passionate and committed member on to our team.
While most boat building opportunities are pretty limited to certain skill sets, we are keen to teach our staff a range of knowledge that extends from the lamination department, through the assembly department and into our upholstery department, so you will learn and be able to develop a set of skills superior to most other boat builders out there!
The right applicant must be:
– Dead keen to build boats!
That is it…. if you are that keen, then I know you will be showing up before you are due to start work, and keen to help out with some overtime when necessary to get some boats finished or repairs completed. There is no doubt that if you are as keen as we need you to be that you will absorb the info we are teaching you and develop a worldclass set of fibreglass boat building and repair skills!
If you have previous experience in boat building then that helps. If you have experience with powertools or mechanical knowledge then that helps as well. If you know nothing other than that you absolutely love boats and want to know everything about them and be able to build them, then by all means that is the key ingredient that we are looking for.
Oh, by the way, you should be physically fit and can’t be afraid to get your hands dirty as it can be a very messy, dusty and itchy job!
