The person we are looking for will preferably have the following traits/experience…
- Self-motivated – this person will need to be the type of person who gets up in the morning looking forward to getting into a day’s work, they will be in charge of themselves and will need to have the drive to push themselves to achieve without the need for micro management.
- Enthusiastic – we are looking for someone who can pass on the philosophy of our company to our clients, they need to be upbeat, enthusiastic and supportive to our clients
- Marine experience a must – they need to be able to learn and understand the product range quickly and how it integrates into a vessel, for this they will need to know port from starboard and bow from stern.
- Some sales experience would be beneficial, this could come in the form of sales of a service or product
- Technical back ground in the marine industry, we need a person who has the ability to learn and understand the technical based products we sell and give sound advice to installers and tradesmen before, during and after the sales process
- Ideally our products would suit someone with an engineering/shipwright/electrical back ground with sales experience but in saying that, anyone who has a reasonable grasp of these principles and can retain technical information and relay that to our clients will be successful.
- The job is based in Auckland and surrounding areas but is a nationwide role extending to the pacific islands in the region.
